Our Fire Door Kit upgrades most any door with a minimum thickness of 1 and 3/8" (35mm) to an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 20 minute fire rated door.

Each door kit is composed of the following:

• Preformed Door Facing
  • 1.2mm thick Fire Resistant Panel consisting of rust resistant, ready-to-paint steel sheet coated with fire resistant compound
  • Standard Width - 3’ 0”
  • Standard Height - 7’ 0”
  • Door facing is designed to be site trimmed to fit most any size or shape of existing door with a shears
  • Each door facing comes embossed with UL stamp mark on the show face
  • Kit is used on one side of the door only (preferably inside)
  • Faces can be trimmed with applied moldings, which covers the supplied screws
• Preformed lock reinforcing bracket
  • 1.3 mm thick Fire Resistant Bracket consisting of rust resistant, ready-to-paint steel sheet coated with fire resistant compound
  • Each bracket embossed with UL mark
  • Standard Width - 4 1/2”
  • Standard Height - 4 1/2”
  • Custom brackets for non-standard lock available
  • Polished brass upgrade available
• Screws
  • Stainless steel #8 screws supplied in packages of 50 per Kit
• Fire retardant compound
  • Fire retardant material is Environmentally friendly (contains no asbestos), approved by the Canadian Federal Government Department of the Environment - Environmental Choice Program
